Kim Livesay Finds Beauty and Freedom in Recovery

The beauty and freedom that come with recovery are very personal to Kim Livesay, LCDC, our Business Development Representative for the north Houston territory since September 2019.

She is beyond grateful for her career in substance abuse treatment. Kim considers work with families and individuals struggling with addiction a calling and an opportunity to share what was offered to her many years ago to pursue sobriety.

Started as an Intern with Prisons

Recovered from the addiction disease, Kim started working in recovery by interning as a substance abuse counselor within the Texas prison system-TDCJ at the Hamilton Unit in Bryan/College Station and the Estelle Unit in Huntsville.

Following that, she was the Program Counselor for La Hacienda’s College Station IOP.

A Passion for Helping Women

A big believer in the spiritual aspect of recovery, paying it forward and–most importantly–leading by example, she has a strong passion for helping women in recovery. She opened a sober living home for women in The Woodlands, which continues to serve that community.

She volunteers with 12 Step-based groups/programs in The Woodlands, Cypress, and Tomball.

Married for 22 years, Kim lives in The Woodlands and has four children.  She enjoys vacations with her family, Pilates, and interior decorating.
