La Hacienda Alumni Support Helps Sustain Recovery
Treatment is only the beginning of recovery.
Prior to completing therapy at La Hacienda, Continuing Care coordinators help patients plan referrals and services for the next six to twelve months. This helps build a support system to maintain and enhance the sobriety and personal growth achieved during treatment. Part of this support system comes from a strong alumni network La Hacienda has in cities throughout Texas. Former patients participate in weekly meetings and help new graduates transition into recovery in their community.
Our Alumni Support staff follows up with each former patient on a regular basis for the first year and seeks to continue to stay in touch thereafter. Alumni Support also emails a newsletter highlighting upcoming events, speaking engagements, and recovery articles to alumni.

Annual Alumni Reunion
La Hacienda annually hosts a weekend reunion for former patients and their families at the Hunt, Texas, residential center. This enables alumni to reconnect with each other and with staff and make new connections. Information about speakers and lodging for upcoming reunions is announced in the alumni newsletter and posted on our website.
